Procurement Consultant
CPC is looking to recruit a procurement consultant to join its growing consultancy team. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of all UK public sector procurement advisory and management assignments from its London , Manchester , Cardiff and Aylesbury offices. The role be delivered from either CPC’s Manchester or London office but will be required to travel as and when required to client offices throughout the UK.
The Role:
Typical assignments will involve leading the scoping and delivery of procurement solutions which are both commercially efficient and structurally/procedurally compliant with European procurement regulations on behalf of a broad range of primarily public sector bodies.
Current assignments involve delivering these services to the following sectors:
Higher Education
UK Transport Executives
Local Authorities in England, Scotland and Wales
Central Government Departments
Key skills / attributes:
The successful candidates will have:
a strong record of procurement within the UK public sector, including capital works; IT procurement; outsourcing; buying services; PFI and PPP; setting up procurement frameworks; interim services; new team design and implementation; setting up procurement processes, systems and procedures
a formal procurement and supply chain qualification ideally to MCIPS level
an understanding of OJEU and current best practice within the Public Sector
proven ability to simultaneously project manage and lead multiple complex projects
ability to bring new opportunities to CPC from existing and new clients
a strong understanding of commercial operations through direct experience in CPC’s target industry or consulting
excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
fluency in the English language is mandatory as is a high standard of computer literacy.
