Benefits and Business Case Consultancy

Client: Lifelong Learning UK
Duration: Mar 2008 – May 2008

Project Overview
LLUK were contracted by DIUS (Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills) to deliver major improvements to the FE sector (the Catalyst programme) as a result of the Leitch review. The Catalyst programme is a Ł30 million, 3-year programme working with the Further Education (FE) sector, with the aim of supporting Development of world class management across FE; and ensuring that the FE sector has teachers, tutors and trainers with the right levels of skill and expertise to deliver effectively to the business sectors they serve.

CPC’s Role
The programme was well into its development stage, but there was an urgent need to identify and clarify the specific benefits that the programme and its components needed to deliver. CPC defined the benefits and refined the programme’s Business Case, which in turn enabled effective investment decision-making and overall programme evaluation.

Client Benefits
CPC’s broad experience will be drawn upon when planning and advancing the implementation of the scheme giving the client confidence that the project is in safe hands. This, combined with CPC’s Project management experience relating to design management and construction delivery, will provide our client with a service he can rely upon.
