Project Overview
Due to heightened technical and operational standards (MDD 93/42/EEC) associated with the decontamination of surgical instrumentation it was decided to replace all existing facilities on a pan Glasgow basis. This requirement was satisfied through the delivery of purpose built, self contained Theatre Sterile Service Unit accommodation. The scheme involved the coordination of four NHS Trusts and, subsequently, phased departmental relocations instigating critical programme dates. The scheme is now operational and is the largest, most highly specified and most advanced decontamination centre in Europe.

CPC’s Role
CPC was commissioned to project manage the design and delivery of this unique, state-of-the-art decontamination centre and to provide the additional role of planning supervision.
