FOCUS

Client: London Underground Limited
Duration: 2000-2001
Value: £300m

Project Overview
FOCUS: Facility for Operations, CUstomer service and Security. This LUL project was initiated to implement the Group Station Control Room Strategy across the LUL Network. This would significantly improve communication channels across the network, providing ‘real time’ information to staff and the public. Such elements include a minute-by-minute train service; additional general information, security surveillance, congestion analysis and a customer help line.

CPC’s Role
CPC was engaged to manage the feasibility and design phases and provide recommendations for the project's progression. CPC’s involvement enabled development from a theoretical strategy into a practical rollout programme in an environment of constant change. With financial constraints and changing circumstances, CPC were able to enable LUL to transfer project research and development into new strategies, in a functional and positive way.
