Project Overview
CPC is currently supplying project management services to Transport for London (TfL), including planning, programming and risk management,
for the White City development. The project on this brownfield site comprises 1.3m sq ft of retail and leisure, giving Ł250m worth of transport benefits for London Underground Ltd (LUL).
This includes a new fully signalled 16 road siding for the Central line, a new station on the Hammersmith and City line, a new ticket hall
for Shepherds Bush station forming part of a new transport interchange involving the Central line, buses and taxis, a new station on the West London line and a major new bus station.
CPC’s Role
While acting as project manager for TfL (Group Property & Facilities), CPC are charged with:
• Preparing the Development Agreement between LUL and the development Partner (Chelsfield plc)
• Taking the development through master planning and planning consent
• Facilitating the implementation of the commercial and transport works in accordance with LUL, public private partnership and private finance initiative requirements.
Client Benefits
CPC his playing a key part in the drafting of the development agreement and managing the interface and approvals process with LUL, London Bus Services Ltd and the Her Majesty’s Railway Inspectorate.
On completion of this influential retail and leisure development, the project team will have achieved the following benefits:
• Transport benefits at no cost to LUL
• An improvement to safety on the railway
• Premium payments and an overage based
on the success of the project.
