Delivering HMO Licensing

In response to the Housing Act 2004 and the mandatory requirement on authorities to license larger, higher risk HMOs, we have created a new HMO Licensing offering.

Utilising a highly skilled team of Housing and Health consultants we are able to work with authorities to address the licensing of houses in multiple occupation ensuring authorities comply quickly and effectively with the new legislation.

We are available to help you with:

  • Identifying relevant properties under the new definitions
  • Undertaking surveys to determine condition and licensing requirements
  • Developing new processes and procedures for mandatory licensing
  • 'Outsourcing’ the complete HMO licensing process or ‘mix and match’ internal and external resources
  • Limiting the impact the HMO licensing process will have on current EHO workloads
  • Project managing implementation through enforcement procedures
  • Taking enforcement action including preparing notices, prosecutions, control orders and acting as expert witnesses

Benefits of our Service include:

  • Reduced cost over additional permanent or temporary staff options
  • Simple, easy to procure solution
  • Ability to deploy essential resources where they are most needed, at the front line
  • Services based on a low or no cost solution

Our one stop service assures quality and efficiency in service delivery, by providing the resources and skills necessary to overcome the challenges of the new licensing regime.
