Delivering HMO Licensing
In response to the Housing Act 2004 and the mandatory requirement on authorities to license larger, higher risk HMOs, we have created a new HMO Licensing offering.
Utilising a highly skilled team of Housing and Health consultants we are able to work with authorities to address the licensing of houses in multiple occupation ensuring authorities comply quickly and effectively with the new legislation.

- Identifying relevant properties under the new definitions
- Undertaking surveys to determine condition and licensing requirements
- Developing new processes and procedures for mandatory licensing
- 'Outsourcing’ the complete HMO licensing process or ‘mix and match’ internal and external resources

- Project managing implementation through enforcement procedures
- Taking enforcement action including preparing notices, prosecutions, control orders and acting as expert witnesses
