Business Cases

HM Treasury’s five case model has been the preferred assessment basis for public sector business cases for some time. CPC have worked with clients in Health, Education, Central and Local Government to develop their assessments of capital spending and to realistically justify and enumerate the financial and other consequences of the projects. It is this realism that sets CPC apart from other organisations because we can bring specific understanding of construction, building, infrastructure and IT projects to any business case compilation. This added expertise means that we do not just produce a business case, we add value through understanding the context and being able to understand and question the assumptions and judgements made.

Any business case prepared under the guidance of CPC will demonstrate a coherent strategy, fully supported by capital investment. At CPC, we believe this approach enables us to make the most informed judgements on the realism of the business cases and to help their authors present a case with an excellent chance of acceptance.

Although business case projects are often undertaken separately they do of course often form part of a much wider programme or project.
