Radical re-think of Service Delivery
With Gershon running out of steam, particularly with the increased cost of change, Central Government is having to radically re-think how it can deliver its services in the most efficient and effective manner.
While there are obvious lessons to be learned from the Local Authority and Health joint working model there is a clear need to further develop the shared services model of working within government departments - and their satellites - and to explore partnerships with the Voluntary/Third sector to deliver services via a non commercial route.
