HMO Licensing
The course recognises that most authorities will by now understand the requirements regarding HMOs and licensing, and will have frameworks in place. This course aims to address broader, practical issues, including:
- alignment of licensing with Housing and Private Sector Renewal strategies;
- linkage with Homelessness & Allocations, Housing Benefits, Planning, Enforcement and Decent Homes;
- compliance inspection prioritisation;
- gaps in licensing policies;
- tie-in with accreditation; and
- the energy efficiency agenda.
